Summer Surf Camps: Children and teenagers ages 6 to 17 are invited every summer to attend AQUA SURF camp. Children and teenagers gain lifelong positive memories, friends and surfing skills. We welcome first time newcomers as well as our repeat students who return year after year. Our summer surf camp staff is trained in safety and hired based on surfing skills, swimming skills, and teaching ability. Regardless of skill level, students will benefit from attending AQUA SURF through our customized and multi-level instruction, from beginner to advanced courses.

All of our camp instructors train bi-weekly. Our in-house training program involves extensive swimming, running, emergency response techniques and procedures, and systematic surfing instruction. All staff is CPR and First Aid trained. There is always a Certified Ocean Lifeguard on duty during camp sessions.

Student to Staff Ratios: If surf conditions change, so does our student to instructor ratios. Our general student to staff ratio is 4 to 1.

Water ratio is 4 to 1 and general beach staff ratios are 10 to 1. Ratios depend on the maturity and experience of the group. However,

Who can attend surf camp: First time students, including beginning, intermediate and advanced levels are encouraged to attend. Age groups: 6-12 years old and 13-17 years old can register for our camps. We encourage siblings, friends and family to attend together.

What to expect: Fun filled days at the beach learning how to surf. In the mornings we stretch, warm-up and the surf for about two hours. After surfing, we eat lunch and relax under the sun. Then we play some beach games for about thirty minutes. Once everyone is ready, we all go surf and swim for another two hours.

Activities:

• Our surfing system is introduced and taught on land in the morning
• Warm-up/stretching techniques prior to surfing
• Surfing in groups - morning and afternoon
• Lunch - bring your own lunch and/or lunch money
• Beach games (volleyball, soccer, football + more)
• Surf contest every Friday

Drop off is from 8:30am to 9:00am (Early drop off and late pick-up services are available, just ask.)

Resident prices apply to students who attend school within the city of the camp they are attending.

Discount Procedure: We evaluate discounts upon request, on a case by case basis. If someone really wants to surf, but cannot afford to pay, they may apply for a sponsorship.

Carpool Arrangements Available

Shuttle Service = Free, but gas donations and tips are highly appreciated
